Change in Action
Kin and Cloth is a kids’ fashion label that has consciously set itself against prevailing industry trends by providing a sustainable alternative to fast fashion, making clothes from sustainably-sourced cloth, upcycle materials, and waste material. We are not only just about retail but also about influencing positive patterns of consumption, engaging with community, and inspiring our future creators.
Our primary mission is to give children clothes they can feel good in and about with a viable alternative to fast fashion, disposability, and overconsumption. This is achieved by promoting better-quality, long-lasting, sustainable fashion.
As well as our pop-up storefront the business runs community-focused creative workshops with local children to teach them the basics of ‘making’, mending, upcycle and how to recognize quality (over the power of branding). The workshops are a gateway to R&D, providing direct customer research from children about making and mending, how they connect with our products, and understanding how they learn about sustainability issues. We are committed to the below frameworks;
Accountability
