It’s Awards time

On the July 2, 2025 marked the official halfway point of this year and now it’s onwards to the end of the year.
At the start of 2025 I heard a clear message be BOLD, BE VISIBLE, this would be a big leap for me because of my health challenges, however those who know me are aware that anything deemed as an obstacle I will find a way around, over or under it.
To be BOLD and VISIBLE again allowed me to step into places where there was a long pause, ask more questions, reach out for help when needed and stand firm where others would try to shake me. I have kept my focus on the message and last week Friday I received the news that Kin and Cloth won a GOLD Award from City Kids magazine for Best Fashion Brand – Visionary.
Whist the news was sinking in achieving GOLD for the label and sharing what I always believe is a collective win with others who have been so gracious and faithful to give support for the work being delivered, further news then came earlier this week that Kin and Cloth is a FINALIST in the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards for two categories.
The Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards is the UK’s largest and most prestigious business awards programme shining a huge light on celebrating so many companies demonstrating excellence, driving innovation and development whilst creating impact and supporting our local communities. The UK is full of innovation and being recognised as a finalist is an incredible honour to be amongst a wide range of businesses investing in building growth for the UK economy and working with our future generation to plant a seed for change and giving them a strong foundation to thrive from.
The reception at the House of Common saw over 200 business leaders attend and now there are 10 companies in each of the two categories that Kin and Cloth is a finalist. I am looking forward to sharing this news with as many children who have connected with our clothing and creative workshops to encourage them at how far they can go towards creating a greater platform for positive change.
